Women's Flyfishing® has joined with five other woman-owned outdoor businesses in establishing the Alaska Women's Outdoor Association. The Association was formed to help encourage women to participate in all that the Alaska outdoors has to offer by providing:
&n&n 1) information about a variety of outdoor activities;
&n&n 2) referrals between member's services; and
&n&n 3) coordinated trip planning.
Members do not necessarily limit their services only to women, but are particularly sensitive to women's interests and needs. In addition to Women's Flyfishing®, the Association consists of Puffin Fishing Charters, a salmon and halibut saltwater charter boat service on the Kenai Peninsula's Resurrection Bay out of Seward; McKinley Air Service, a flight service providing flightseeing and glacier landings on Mount McKinley; Camelot Cottages, offering comfortable, family friendly cottages also located in Seward; Alaska Wilderness Journeys, enabling women to explore a variety of Alaska's incredible wild places by raft, kayak, snowshoe, and on foot; and The Sports Shop, the premier women's outdoor gear and equipment store in Alaska.
